ISO a Children's Book Agent

Well, I guess I’ve waited long enough to submit OPBC to another agent. She was my first choice, which is always the hardest. I can’t believe it’s been so long since I queried her. (She wanted 4 weeks exclusive review, and I wanted her.) I seriously thought it was May 20th I was waiting for. But it was April 20th :-( .

Gettin' back on the Internet to (re-)search agent #2.

I really think I need to go to a conference and pay to pitch to some agents live, but finding/making the time for that while trying to make the most of my time with my family is difficult at best.

I just have to stop thinking I can determine the time schedule… I really want to publish in September 2022 (it's a subtly Halloween-themed book), but I also really want to give finding an agent a real shot. It’s like finding a therapist, which is like finding a boyfriend, which is why I have never found a therapist.

My new webpage is in the process, and I really like my web designer...

One step at a time...

XO,

Melissa (Rooney)
