Upon being pressed to look deeper behind the Covid “smokescreen”

Looking deeper... I see a government that is fine with letting hundreds of thousands of citizens die because they refuse to impose simple medically advised procedures (masks and social distancing) that would enable businesses to open safely; I see a government that refuses to require registration, background checks, and commonsense laws to protect it’s most vulnerable population from gun deaths that profit gun sellers, manufacturers, and lobbyists; I see a country that refuses to acknowledge that the Civil War is over and that the Confederacy that fought to protect their enslavement of colored people has no legitimacy in American society anymore; I see a government that is spending millions of dollars in tax-payer money to fight the rules of common decency and morality in court in order to continue separating refugee children from their families and housing them in cages; I see government leaders who cut taxes and give handouts to rich people and corporations while hanging the working class out to dry; I see a president and administration that is determined to eliminate basic healthcare for working-class citizens and has no regard for life unless it is unborn or demonstrates blind faith and financially supports those in power; I see a leadership that likes nothing more than inciting division, hate, and violence among its citizens. And, far from being hidden by a Covid smokescreen, I see these actions and intents becoming more transparent and brazen with every passing day.
